Haunted Houses

I was driving through the rural countryside in the county of Albemarle, Virgina when I saw these two derelict houses along the side of the road and decided to photograph them.  I wondered what the 'story' was behind these, at one time, grand homes.  What I learned from the locals was that these homes had belonged to owners of a local Quarry business that had gone out of business years ago.
